• 5-7 October, 2006 - The WAI will host its 2006 International Technical Conference, entitled: "Global technologies for emerging markets," at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi. See complete conference details.

This three-day conference will offer an inaugural general session and a complete technical program that will provide both a global and local view of the wire and cable market. Panel presentations, tabletop exhibits, a plant tour to Hero Honda Motors facility, area tours, and a gala dinner are also planned for conference delegates.

Currently 19 technical papers are slated for presentation during the conference. Topics cover both ferrous and nonferrous disciplines.

Tabletop exhibits have become an important part of WAI’s annual International Technical Conferences and give companies exposure to the local markets in many countries around the world. Participating companies receive one full registration for the
individual working at the exhibit as part of the tabletop fee.

• April 27 - 30, 2005 - The WAI India Chapter sponsored a successful Technical Symposium in conjunction with Wire & Cable Expo 2005 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India. The half-day technical program focused on new technological developments related to wire and cable, including the fastener industry.
